Meet Our Team

Meet Maria!

Hi, I’m Maria! I was born and raised in Key West, Florida, so the ocean has always felt like home to me. What initially drew me to coastal Maine was simply missing that connection to the water. This is my fourth year working seasonally—I spent 2023 in Yellowstone, 2024 in Grand Teton, and this is my second season with Maine State. I’m so excited to be back in Acadia!

I love traveling, trying new things, and nurturing my many creative hobbies. I feel most inspired, awakened, and at peace when I’m surrounded by nature.

Meet Olivia!

Hi, I’m Olivia! I was born in Southern California, but Acadia has become a place I’m lucky enough to call home for my third season—and hopefully many more to come!

I love my cat, being outside, hiking, reading, and, most of all, trying new things. I want to see it all and experience as much of the world as I can!

One of my biggest goals in life is to leave the world a little better than I found it, even if that’s something as simple as making a family smile on the carriage roads or hearing laughter from a group out sea kayaking.

Meet Jackson

Hi, I’m Jackson! I’m from Locust, North Carolina, and I’m passionate about all things cycling. Whether it’s advocacy, racing, coaching, or simply getting out for a ride, cycling has always been a huge part of my life.

I was drawn to the Acadia region because of the incredible landscape and the endless opportunities to explore it on two wheels. There’s something pretty special about experiencing Acadia from a bike! I believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of cycling.

Meet Owen

Hi, I’m Owen, and this is my third season on the island! I’m originally from New Jersey, but I’ve split my time between Vermont and Maine for the past four years. After spending the last two seasons guiding sea kayaking, I’m excited to switch things up and join the bike shop this year!

I spend pretty much all of my time doing or thinking about biking, snowboarding, ski touring, kayaking, and hiking. Basically, if it gets me outside, I’m probably into it!

I love giving back to the community in any way I can, and I’m passionate about helping people get outside and enjoy the outdoors, no matter what might be holding them back.

Meet Ben

Cycling has been a huge part of my life for years, from racing road and mountain bikes to working in bike shops and coaching NICA students.

After spending so much of my education learning how to help people become more active, I’m excited to bring that knowledge and passion to Acadia. I love making new connections with the people around me and sharing what I’ve learned about cycling with others. I believe cycling is about more than just riding a bike, it’s about creating connections, encouraging each other, and helping people discover something they enjoy.

Meet Jon

I’m originally from Pennsylvania and have spent the past four summers working seasonal jobs in some pretty incredible places, including Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Bryce Canyon National Parks. This season, I’m excited to explore everything Acadia has to offer!

I’ve always loved the outdoors and pretty much anything that gets me exploring—from hiking and biking to snowboarding and discovering new places. I’m also a big believer in the power of community and the joy that comes from sharing great experiences with other people.

Meet Armand

I’ve been a licensed Maine Guide since 1978 and hold a Master Maine Guide license. Over the years, I’ve guided canoeing, sea kayaking, and whitewater rafting trips throughout Maine and Canada, along with working on boats and research vessels.

I’m passionate about the outdoors and love sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years with others.  I believe we’re always learning from one another, and sharing our knowledge makes every adventure better. I’m excited to meet our guests, share a few stories, and help get more people outside!
